It is unlikely that the 147 grain +P ammo will be enough better for your needs to make any difference if it actually works best in your handgun. After all that (what most people here seem to be saying) it's probably good advice to sight in a gun with the ammo you're going to carry & pop off a few rounds of it.

my understanding is that the 124/125 grain is the standard for NATO so more than likely an fmj, lighter projectiles means higher velocity to.
OK, I bought some 115 grain and some 147 grain because I had never shot 147 grain and wanted to see if it was a Next week I'm going to shoot nothing but 147 grain and see what I am able to do. My carry ammo is 147 JHP, but otherwise 115gr is just fine. I picked up several cases of NATO 124gr.
